Job description

The primary role of a Vacuum Operator is to operate Vacuum Trucks (liquid and turbo) for various Industrial customers. Key Responsibilities: - Liquid Vacuum Trucks – Drive and perform major duties independently including the liquid transfer of material from one vessel to another location - Turbo Vacuum Trucks – Drive and perform major duties with the assistance of a Utility Operator - Understand and complete required documentation such as waste manifests, bills of lading etc. - Responsible for obtaining and completing customer safe work permits and any additional required documents for hauling materials - Perform the set-up and take down of equipment required for the job - Perform the vacuuming of actual material from the job site - Advise the Utility Operator on the proper equipment needed on the truck to complete the job (i.e. hoses, fittings etc.) - Conduct pre-trip inspection of each vehicle (i.e. check fluid levels, oil, anti-freeze etc.) - Diagnose and report any vehicle mechanical issues to the mechanic - Conduct yard checks - Provide input and recommendations to management on processes and procedures - Perform general housekeeping on a daily basis - Other assignments as dir...
