Schedule: Full Time, Day/Evening/Night with weekend and holiday requirements Are you an experienced Registered Nurse interested in a fulfilling nursing career at UR Medicine Thompson Health? The Observation unit RN will provide care to patients who require close monitoring and short-term care often due to acute conditions that don't necessitate full inpatient admission but do need more than an Emergency Room stay. Requirements: - Assessment of patients to monitor for changes in patients' condition - Treatment and medication administration - Documentation of patient status and response to treatment - Education of patient and family on treatment plan, discharge instructions and care protocols related to their condition - Coordination of Care with physicians, case managers and other members of the health care team to ensure a safe discharge or full admission to the hospital - Graduate of approved school of nursing - BSN or working towards a BSN or professional certification with in one year of employment preferred. - NYS license as a Registered Professional Nurse - 2 to 5 years of medical-surgical nursing expe...
