Job description
About the role: A Mechanical Fitter is responsible for the completion of assigned tasks as directed by their immediate Leading Hand and Supervisor, ensuring that all work is undertaken to a high tradesperson-like quality. Key Responsibilities: Remuneration: - Performing all aspects of bench work. - Reporting equipment defects immediately to the supervisor. - Risk assessment, development of job procedures and ensuring Take 5s are completed. - Maintenance of documentation, service records, equipment, tools, and work areas. - Understanding and applying procedures relating to safety and reporting. - PPE compliance and respect for safety equipment at all times. - Ensure that all work is kept to a high quality. - Ensure quality assurance practices as required by the project are adhered to at all times. - Quality control of own work. - Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge. - As per the HBT Queensland Enterprise Agreement 2024 - Overtime available - 36-hour ordinary hours - Afternoon Shift Allowance of 15% - Night Shift Allowance of 25% - Weekend work will be paid at double time for all hours About You: - Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter -...
