This position will be assigned to Public Works Streets Department JOB SUMMARY: The Maintenance Crew Leader I performs various duties including driving dump truck and operating equipment, as well as making small repairs and daily maintenance to trucks and equipment used. Other duties include construction related to street and drainage installation and/or maintenance. QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent required. Must possess a valid Texas Class "A" Commercial Driver's License. MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT AND WORK AIDES: Bulldozers, backhoes, trenchers, dump trucks, trackhoes, loaders KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: - Two years of experience in operation of vehicles and light equipment. - Ability to understand and abide by City of Conroe and Departmental policies and procedures. - Must be able to work on call duty and respond at any hour during an emergency when requested. - Must be able to attend after hours classes to renew or obtain required certifications/licenses when necessary. - Ability to work as many hours needed to get the work assigned completed. - Must be able to lift weights of 50 pounds and 100 pounds with assistance. - Ability to...
