Become a part of our caring community The Medical Assistant 2 is the first point of contact for patient care. Responsible for administrative duties in addition to patient care. The Medical Assistant 2 performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. Performs computations. Typically works on semi-routine assignments. Use your skills to make an impact - Prepare patients for exams, including taking vital signs and medical histories. - Assist healthcare professionals with exams, procedures, and surgeries. - Administer medications, vaccinations, and injections as directed. - Perform routine lab tests, such as urinalyses and blood draws. - Maintain patient records, including updating medical histories and test results. Required Qualifications: Use your skills to make an impact - Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA). - Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods. - Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. - Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) and medical software. - CPR/First Aid certification.
