Job description

Virginia Wesleyan University (VWU) is seeking on-site adjunct faculty to teach in our Prison Education Program (PEP) in the Chesapeake region. The areas of expertise include business, English, science, humanities, and language. These are part-time positions teaching on-site courses for associate's and bachelor's degree programs. Preference will be given to candidates with a terminal degree in the content area and demonstrated experience in teaching college-level coursework. However, candidates with an M.S. or 18 graduate semester hours will also be considered. There is currently demand for Fall 2025 and Spring 2025. Qualifications: - Prepare syllabi that meet the VWU syllabus guidelines and provide these to students on the first day of class.
