Purpose: Examine foreclosure title reports and abstracted documents for evaluation of effect on the chain of title and subsequent foreclosure action. Search public records to determine legal condition of property title and requirements needed to cure defective title. Summarize (abstracts) recorded documents which affect condition of title to property (e.g., mortgages, trust deeds, and contracts).
