Performs tasks involving heavy lifting, cleaning and maintaining transport equipment. Assists nursing staff in the care and treatment of patients on a nursing unit. Minimum Qualifications: 1. Ability to write legibly, speak articulately and follow directions. 2. Previous patient care experience. 3. Knowledge of correct body mechanics as applied to lifting and transporting patients. 4. Handles and serves patients in a manner conducive to their comfort and safety. 5. May be required to rotate shifts on a scheduled or PRN basis. 6. Heartsaver CPR/HCP/BLS certificate upon hire 7.
