Job description

Requirements: - Performs all duties and activities in a manner that conforms to site specific safety requirements, company policy, state and federal regulations. - Perform duties and responsibilities as assigned which would include but are not limited to: shoveling, rockdusting, timbering, brattice work, stoppings, ventilation, belt moves, power moves, pumping and roadway maintenance. - Perform other tasks and duties as required to maintain the outby areas in efficient operating condition. - Fill in on section as needed and as qualifications allow. - Perform other duties as required. - General knowledge of mining support activities (rockdusting, timbering, brattice work, ventilation, pumps, etc.). - Knowledge of safe job procedures for general inside labor. - Skill with hand tools. - Know the Safe Job Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, company safety policies, and applicable rules and regulations. Certifications/Licenses: - Underground coal miner's certificate - Annual 8 hour retraining and/or appropriate training - Task training - Other qualifications as required by contract, regulations and/or management
