Title Seasonal Utility Operator-1 Job Summary: Responsible for performing general repair work on Airport field and grounds such as trimming lawns, bushes and trees, clearing approaches to runways and maintaining parking lots and public streets. LOCATIONS: Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority: 23 Positions General Aviation Airports (General DeWitt Spain and Charles Baker) Two (2) Positions Hourly Rate: $17.62: Position Description: 1. Uses hands, arms, feet, legs, manual dexterity and a relatively high degree of concentration and attention to safely operate yard maintenance and landscaping equipment and tools such as riding lawn mowers, weed-eaters, wheelbarrows, shovels etc. in order to maintain lawns and landscaping on Airport grounds. Involves working in an outdoor environment with exposure to all weather conditions, smoke, dust, fumes, heat and noise. 2. Uses electrical and mechanical trimming equipment to trim bushes and trees on Airport grounds. Involves bending, stooping, crouching and reaching to properly trim bushes and trees.
