Clifton College is seeking an outstanding and experienced English specialist to join the College as Head of English for a September 2026 or January 2027 start, depending on the preferred candidate's availability. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to lead a thriving and well-established department, teaching English from Year 9 through to A Level and Oxbridge preparation. The successful candidate will inspire a love of literature from a wide range of periods and cultures while fostering creativity, imagination and intellectual curiosity among pupils. As Head of Faculty, you will lead an experienced and enthusiastic team, overseeing the continued development of teaching and learning across the department. The role includes line management responsibilities for departmental leaders, including the Head of English as an Additional Language, and contributing to the strategic academic development of the College.
