Special Events Assistant

Job description

Description Lorain County Metro Parks is currently seeking a Special Events Assistant. We are looking for a highly organized individual interested in the hospitality field, with excellent communication skills, and strong attention to detail. Pay Rate: $12 to $15 per hour, commensurate with employee experience. Temporary employees can work up to 28 hours per week. - Proficient knowledge of all venue and park rules and regulations. - Serve as the main point of contact for clients and guests. - Provide exceptional customer service and handle any issues that may arise. - Prepare facilities before the event including room set up. - Ensure that events stay on track and end on time. - Ensure that the venue is clear of all decorations, supplies, and trash following each event, and document any damage to the venue and grounds. - Open and close buildings, facilities, and outdoor venues, including setting security alarms.
