EMS Manager - Battalion Chief

Job description

The EMS Manager - Battalion Chief oversees the daily operations of the EMS Department for a designated platoon. This includes but is not limited to maintaining adequate staff levels, keeping proper equipment readily available and emergency command response to incidents. The EMS Manager - Battalion Chief supervises EMS staff during their shift, as assigned: MICN's, RN's, MICP's, EMT's, MAV technicians, Medcom Communication (in the absence of Communications Manager) and EMS Students. The EMS Manager - Battalion Chief is responsible for the provision of a high standard of emergency medical care to the citizens of Atlantic and Cape May County and surrounding areas. The EMS Manager - Battalion Chief is role model for desired company values, responsible for resolving customer service issues, operating within budgetary guidelines, identifying ways to best utilize System resources and maximizing performance through continual reassessment of System needs and EMS response to Mass Casualty Incidents, Special Operations requests and Special Events.
