Roofer The Durable Slate Company , an award-winning historic roofing contractor established in 1986 , is seeking a Roofer to join our team. We specialize in historic slate, clay-tile, and copper roofing and are known for our commitment to quality craftsmanship, safety, and preservation excellence . We are looking for experienced roofers who are trained or interested in being trained in traditional roofing techniques. With our in-house training program, we can work with you to elevate your experience. What You’ll Do: Install, repair, and maintain historic slate, clay-tile, and copper roofing systems Work on architecturally and historically significant buildings Assist with material handling, job site setup, and clean-up Follow company safety standards and maintain a professional job site Collaborate with a team of skilled roofers and preservation specialists Travel to various job sites as needed, with paid travel time and logistics support What We’re Looking For: Experience in steep slope roofing: Comfortable working at heights using ladders, lifts, and scaffolding Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Valid driver’s license with no more than 4 points, ability to pass a pre-employment dru...
