Overview Posted for internal purposes only: Qualifications: - Advanced clinical degree (MD or DO) - Post graduate training in residency program Responsibilities: - Provide clinical and related administrative services and actively participate in and contribute to DHC’s academic endeavors. - Abide by the Dartmouth Health Bylaws for the Professional Staff and Code of Conduct. - Review records and detailed medical history from patient(s). - Determine appropriate diagnosis (diagnoses) and treatment plan(s). - Determine and order appropriate screening and diagnostic tests and studies. - Obtain informed consent for treatment diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and studies. - Interpret and evaluate test and study results. - Prescribe medications, treatments, and medical devices in accordance within specialty scope of practice and applicable rules and regulations. - Initiate referrals to other providers as necessary. - Initiate admission/discharge of patients, if applicable. - Provide consultation, education, and counseling regarding the management of acute and chronic illnesses and injuries.
