Job description

The Nurse Practitioner Clinic examines and treats patients independently and in autonomous collaboration with other health care professionals following established standards and practices. Ensures proper illness and injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. Relies on education, experience, professional training and judgement to accomplish responsibilities. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Works under minimal supervision under the direction of the collaborating physician, as appropriate. May lead and direct the work of others within scope of practice. Education - A graduate of an approved professional school of nursing. Completion of State Board of Nursing approved Nurse Practitioner Course and license or temporary permit to practice professional nursing as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. - TECHNICAL TASKS - Demonstrates competence in all aspects of practice within the scope of a family or adult nurse practitioner.
