Job description

For over 125 years, Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens has been providing quality social services to the neighborhoods of Brooklyn and Queens, and currently offers 160-plus programs and services for children, youth, adults, seniors, and those struggling with mental illness. Supportive Housing provides housing and mental health services to those with documented history of homelessness, substance abuse, and chronic mental illness. Counseling, case management, substance abuse rehabilitation, wellness, socialization, community integration and crisis management services are available for the residents. STATEMENT OF THE JOB: The Resource Assistant will work as a member of a social services team supporting mentally ill adults with histories of homelessness living in permanent affordable housing. Resource Assistant will provide general management of office and related bookkeeping, overseeing of all program’s billing systems; oversee clerical/secretarial staff; overall management of physical plant; assesses and coordinates maintenance of premises and equipment; provides information for budget expense decisions; responsibilities producing procedures.
