Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Work Shift: All Work Shifts (United States of America) Summary of Primary Function/General Purpose of Position PGY2 pharmacy residency programs build on Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) education and PGY1 pharmacy residency programs to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists in specialized areas of practice with opportunities to function independently as practitioners. Residents who successfully complete an accredited PGY2 pharmacy residency are prepared for advanced patient care, academic, or other specialized positions, along with board certification, if available. Essential Job Functions Performs duties of a staff pharmacist as required Establishes and maintains clinical knowledge or practice that supports the needs of the ministry Instructs and precepts pharmacy students as assigned Develops and performs basic patient assessments as appropriate for scope of practice (i.e. assess for bruising or bleeding in patients on warfarin therapy) Acts as liaison between nursing services, pharmacy services, and medical staff in developing, implementing, and maintaining clinical pharmacy programs Succe...
