Job description
The Senior Engineer is responsible for, with minimal guidance, to perform, or direct specific engineering assignments of varied complexity associated with the design, fabrication, and field construction of gas distribution and transmission regulator stations, transmission pipe installations, and Remote Operated Valve installations. Establishes specifications for contracts, creates estimates, reviews bids from contractors and transmission pipeline companies, and will make / approve design changes. Produce written procedures for all intrusive work on the gas transmission system. Provides technical expertise to other departments. Core Responsibilities: - Designs pipe installations, regulating station installations and remote operating valve installations. Prepares cost estimates and design sketches as required for these designs, including the associated budgetary paperwork/appropriations. Tracks actual cost against estimates. Performs economic evaluations of various designs. May act as the project leader on those projects requiring support/involvement of multiple departments or organizations. - Ensures all designs for new and reconstruction projects are in compliance with all regulati...
