CORE TECHNICIAN - OPERATING ROOM

Job description

Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented Core Technician to join our OR Team! The Core Technician is responsible for picking case carts, both supplies and instrumentation. This position will work closely with clinical staff and sterile processing to utilize surgeon specific preference cards to make sure that each case cart is ready for the next day. Demonstrates knowledge of equipment, instruments, needles, procedures, and supplies used in the operating room. Assists with room turnover, retrieving supplies for the surgical staff, and other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Preferred Experience: - Demonstrates eligibility for employment in the United States. - High school diploma or equivalent. - Must be able to achieve CPR certification within 60 days of employment. - Ability to relate and work effectively with others. - Demonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care and to meet documentation standards. - Is aware of standards and performs in accordance with them. - Previous experience is preferred.
