Job Summary: The Clinical Addictions Research Laboratory (CARL) was incepted in 1997 under the direction of Andrea King, PhD., Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience at the University of Chicago. The overarching mission of CARL is two-folded: 1) To determine factors that lead to excessive use of alcohol, tobacco, and other substances, 2) To develop more effective interventions in the treatment of substance use disorders, particularly tobacco dependence. The Research Analyst will function within a clinical research laboratory conducting human research in both laboratory and intervention studies ranging from alcohol administration, follow-up of drinking and substance use behaviors, vaping and smoking cue research, treatment studies.
