Zerella Fresh is one of Australia’s largest growers and packers of Carrots, Onions and Potatoes supplying Australia’s leading supermarket chains plus independents and exports. We are currently seeking an experienced Farm Sprayer Operator to join our team on a full-time permanent basis at our Virginia site, located in South Australia. Reporting to the Farm Manager, this person will operate and control agricultural and horticultural spray equipment. A competitive salary will be available, based on applicable qualifications and experience. Duties include: - Responsible for the safe, precise, and efficient application of herbicides, pesticides, and fertilizers to crops using specialised machinery. - Execute spraying programs for broadacre or horticultural crops, ensuring accurate dosage and coverage. - Perform daily checks, calibration, and cleaning of spraying machinery. - Safely handle, mix, and load chemicals while adhering to safety regulations. - Maintain precise records of chemical application, chemical inventory, and machine maintenance. - Monitor crops for pests and diseases and report issues to management. - Inspection of crops to determine yield and suitability for harvest. -...
