Claims Specialist

Job description

Primary Role: The Claims Specialist will be responsible for independently and proactively managing the Casualty and Workers Compensation claims program within our Commercial Lines Department Duties and Responsibilities: - Manages and communicates claims issues with client, carrier or producer - Reviews claim status regularly and follows up as needed - Provides status reports to clients and keeps service teams informed as needed - Researches and obtains claims data from carriers as needed - Handles claims consistent with our clients and corporate policies, procedures and HUB Broker Standards and also in accordance with any statutory, regulatory and ethics requirements - Responsible for keeping Broker Management System up to date with correspondence and/or notes on open claims Key Competencies: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: - Teamwork – Supports everyone's efforts to succeed. - Written Communication - Writes clearly and informatively; Edits work for spelling and grammar; Varies writing style to meet needs; Presents numerical data effectively; Able to read and interpret written information. - Initiative – Volunteers readi...
