Job description
You prioritise the safety of yourself and others at work, both physically and mentally. You’ll have the opportunity to use your expertise in communication, problem-solving, empathy and conflict resolution to help thousands of people every day. In this role, you'll: Work within our ail Fire & Emergency Team within the Rail Operations Branch of Sydney Trains, with a focus on leading and directing the Rail Fire and Emergency capability, to ensure that incidents, emergencies and disruptions are safely contained. This role will see you heavily involved in stakeholder management as you meet with the internal operational staff who are out on the network as well as emergency responders such as Fire and Rescue, Police and Ambulance. You will be acting as the key linkage to all these people and going out in the field and solving issues and providing command and control for responses. You will be overseeing and approving rosters for a small number of platoons who work on a 24/7 Roster, providing training and complaints resolution and conducting training development of Sydney Trains staff in fire and emergency response.
