Collaborating with surgical physicians, the nurse practitioner (NP) or physician assistant (PA) provides independent high-level advanced practice services to patients within the Hospitalist Medicine Program. Clinical responsibilities include our Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) service evaluation before surgery and providing perioperative management. Specific duties and functions include but are not limited to the following: Demonstrate knowledge and skills to competently care for all assigned age groups (Adolescents over 18, Adults, and Geriatric). Provide timely, accurate reports to physicians as appropriate. Seek consultation as needed.
