The position is eligible for overtime compensation for all hours worked over 40 in the designated workweek Job Type: Unclassified Department: Transportation About the Position: The Materials Testing Technician performs a variety of quality assurance tests on construction materials used in transportation projects. Working in both laboratory and field environments, the Technician assists with materials testing, inspections, and data collection to support roadway and bridge construction and maintenance. This position follows established procedures, standards, and specifications to help ensure the quality and performance of materials. The Technician may also participate in internal materials evaluations and investigations, including the use of new equipment, emerging technologies, and innovative materials and treatments.
