Reconciliation and Audit Specialist II

SUMMARY: The Reconciliation and Audit Specialist II is responsible for performing daily broker reconciliations of an assigned set of mutual funds for the Fund Accounting team. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: - Prepares broker cash and asset reconciliations for funds to be added to their daily packets. - Researches reconciliation items to provide explanations. - Provides directions to the Fund Accounting team to resolve issues in the Fund Accounting system. - Downloads monthly bank or broker statements for audit requests SPECIAL PROJECTS: - Works on audit support tickets. - Cross-trains on multiple reconciliation types to assist when coworkers are out of the office. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: May perform other duties as required and assigned. - Contact as needed with external business partners regarding general information, audits, inquiries, or reporting requirements. - Collaborates with Fund Accounting, Financial Administration, and Middle Office departments, as needed. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: - Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field, or equivalent. - 2-3 years of relevant experience in financial services, or a related field.
