This role regularly collaborates with other hospital schoolteachers on staff, parents/guardians, students’ regular teachers and school personnel, as well as the medical team to meet patients’ educational needs. This position assesses the needs of students and provides appropriate support and interventions (such as implementing existing IEPs or creating individualized curriculum for patients based on assessment). This role also assists regular school and family with the development of IEPs, 504 plans, and homebound education as needed.
