Job Description Performs the essential duties and responsibilities and the primary functions of a Registered Nurse in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of assigned patients and nurses. ED Flow Coordinator is responsible for the efficiency and safety of patient flow through the Emergency Department. Contributes to team retention and promote an environment of trust as well as a leadership champion of the ED patient throughput metrics and quality improvement initiatives. Responsible for coordinating department functions with the operations of other hospital departments to maximize patient flow and inter-departmental efficiency. Consistent with the direction from the Nurse Manager, works to enhance quality and customer service. Institutes emergency procedures as necessary. SHIFT AND SCHEDULE: Full Time, 6:00 PM - 2:30 AM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS: · Coordinating with Charge Nurse, work to enhance the throughput, quality and customer service in the ED. · Ability to assess, project, and plan for patient needs. · Ability to make appropriate decisions exercising independent judgement. · Communicate effectively with patients and families, unit sta...
