About the role: The Housing Independence Officer plays a crucial role in supporting individuals and families in achieving sustainable housing solutions. This role works closely with clients to assess their needs, provide guidance, and connect them with relevant resources, ensuring that they can maintain their housing and improve their overall quality of life. Key responsibilities: - Conduct assessments to identify the housing needs of clients and develop tailored support plans. - Facilitate access to housing services and resources, including financial assistance and support programs. - Monitor and evaluate client progress, adjusting support plans as necessary to ensure successful housing outcomes. - Maintain accurate records and documentation of client interactions and service delivery. Your qualifications: - A relevant qualification in social work, community services, or tenancy management. - Proven experience in housing support, case management, or a similar operational role. - Strong understanding of NCAT, housing policies and legislation. - Valid NSW Police Check, NSW Working with Children Check and NDIS Clearance - NSW Driver's license and comprehensively insured vehicle.
