RK&K is seeking an experienced Roadway Group Lead to join and grow our transportation design practice in Blacksburg, Virginia. This senior leadership role is responsible for leading roadway and highway design efforts, mentoring staff, and supporting business development initiatives across Virginia and the Mid-Atlantic. The Roadway Group Lead will play a key role in shaping project delivery, technical excellence, and team growth within our transportation practice. This role is available for relocation assistance. Sign on bonus considered comparable with current experience. Essential Functions: As a Roadway Group Lead at RK&K, you will: - Provide technical and people leadership for roadway and highway design projects, primarily supporting VDOT and municipal clients - Lead and oversee the preparation of roadway design plans, reports, specifications, and construction cost estimates - Serve as Engineer of Record and oversee QA/QC for transportation design deliverables - Mentor and develop roadway engineers and designers, fostering technical growth and leadership development - Coordinate with project managers, technical specialists, subconsultants, and internal teams to deliver high-qual...
