Hampton, Virginia Overview: The Protection Officer I RMHRC works under the supervision of the RMHRC Supervisor. The officer performs functions to protect facility and personnel from property loss and criminal activity. Provides services and assistance, as outlined by policies and procedures and directed by Management, to make the facility safe for employees, patients and visitors and to meet the expectations of Riverside Health. What you will do: - Respond with flexibility to changes and adapt to varying work assignments. Monitor fire, intrusion, duress, and security alarm systems and responds as appropriate. Maintain a working knowledge of Genetec access and video systems, to include Worxhub Function in emergency circumstances as directed. Operates communications equipment in keeping with assigned duties. - Maintain positive public relations with the community. Escort employees, visitors, and patients as requested. Assist with transportation and lifting of patients as requested. Assist with providing contraband searching/wanding.
