HOA Staff Accountant

Job description

Purpose: Performs advance, multifaceted accounting and related functions in such areas as general ledger analysis, cost and/or financial analysis, account reconciliation, journal entry posting, financial reviews. Analyses complex financial and operational data and prepares management reports, financial statements, and projections. Provides support for Operations as well as to the VP’s & SVP of HOA Accounting as needed. Partner with both internal and external customers. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: General Statement - Performs the job assigned complying with Company policies and procedures, business code of ethics, FLSA regulations, and all applicable laws, as well as ensuring confidentiality, reliability, quality, and productivity. - Prepares individual financial statements (minimum of 5 resorts) by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from related subledgers by the 25th of the following month - Assist in the training of new associates - Participate in audit & budgeting process - Analyzes and verifies information by developing and maintaining spreadsheet reports - Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files - Performs...
