Job description

Overview Under the direction of the Director of Diagnostic Imaging, the Multi-Modality Technologist performs general radiologic procedures along with CT and/or DEXA procedures requiring advanced technical skills. Displays a high understanding of complicated requests from internal and external providers. Performs X-Ray, CT and/or DEXA procedures without constant supervision. Ability to work in many different areas providing coverage for Outpatients, Inpatients, Portables, Emergency Room, OR, and Fluoroscopy. Expected to perform at the highest potential of their license. Responsibilities: - Operates imaging equipment while performing X-Ray, CT and/or DEXA procedures. - Demonstrated knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy. - Reviews medical record/referral order for patient history and pertinent clinical information. - Transfers patient to imaging table, explains procedure and positions the patient according to protocol. - Monitor patients' well-being during exams; recognizes patient discomfort or medical problems and takes appropriate action.
