Well Planner II – Drilling Services

Job description

Job Overview: The Well Planner II supports the development of well plans and engineering designs to enable safe, efficient, and cost-effective drilling operations. The role works closely with senior engineers, drilling teams, and clients to contribute to well design, planning activities, and operational execution. Responsibilities: - Assist in the development of well plans, including trajectories, drilling programs - Perform basic to intermediate engineering calculations (e.g., hydraulics, torque & drag) - Support the operational schedules - Analyze offset well data to support planning and optimization - Collaborate with drilling supervisors and engineers. - Identify potential risks and support mitigation planning - Ensure compliance with HSE standards and regulatory requirements - Prepare technical documentation, End of Well Report , and well programs - Provide support to ongoing drilling operations when required - Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives Skills: - Basic understanding of well planning and drilling engineering principles - Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills - Good communication and teamwork skills - Willingness to learn and develop in a technica...
