Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: Position Purpose: Supervisor position encompasses all of the job responsibilities of the Cardiac Sonographer or Vascular Technologist position. In addition, the Supervisor performs a variety of technical and non-technical tasks requiring independent judgment and initiative. Organizes and delegates the daily workload (or assigns a designee). Oversees initial and ongoing training for cardiovascular sonographers. What You Will Do: - Patient Care: Ensures organization and delegation of daily testing, either directly or via assignment of charge personnel. Ensures proper prioritization of emergent add-ons. Ensures patients/family are updated as to the plan of care and/or delays. . - · Documentation: Oversight of complete and accurate documentation by Sonographers. Communication: Effectively communicates pertinent information to appropriate members of the patient health care team. - · Collaboration: Collaborates with other departments, physicians and other health care providers regarding patient care and testing.
