Vestas Technology & Operations > Research & Development (R&D) > Components Design The Components Design team supports new product development, technology projects, continuous improvement, and cost-out initiatives for the Blade module. The CD team is accountable for the blade design for manufacturing and plays a key role in ensuring the right TRL, MRL, and SRL maturity. It is also responsible for translating product structural definition into a manufacturable product, accounting for process requirements and material specifications during the design and development of wind turbine blades. The team is made up of skilled employees located in Chennai (India), Lem (Denmark), Isle of Wight (UK) and Porto (Portugal). This is an exciting position that involves travel to Vestas blade manufacturing facilities and to external suppliers worldwide, working on existing products and participating in development projects.
