Staff Accountant

Job description

Position Summary The Staff Accountant plays a key role in supporting day-to-day accounting operations across multiple entities. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. The ideal candidate brings a solid accounting foundation, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, multi-company environment. Key Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Prepare and post month-end and year-end journal entries for multiple companies - Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including bank accounts, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and other general ledger accounts - Analyze general ledger account activity and investigate variances as needed - Assist with review and approval of employee expense reports - Support oversight and administration of company credit card programs - Participate in special projects and ad hoc accounting initiatives as assigned - Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company accounting policies and standards Knowledge, Skil...
