Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Performance Engineer to join our Marine Testing team in Kennesaw, GA. The Performance Engineer will lead all aspects of new product testing from project kick-off through production. Responsibilities include collaborating with Product Management to define and quantify performance requirements, translating customer expectations into measurable specifications to developing and overseeing comprehensive test plans that ensure all requirements are achieved. What you’ll be doing: - Create measurable specifications that quantify Product Management’s product requirement for New Product Development (NPD) projects. - Create and execute Design Verification Plans and Reports (DVP/R) to ensure validation of the product requirements, tailored for mid-sized to large projects. - Collaborate with Testing team resources to develop data acquisition systems to gather benchmark data and to execute DVP/R. - Analyze and interpret data to explain results to technical and non-technical staff. - Work with testing facilities to schedule timely execution of the DVP/R - Support testing team with hands-on instrumentation, laboratory, and on-water testing focusing on more...
