Description Lewis & Clark College, a private liberal arts college with 2,000 undergraduates, invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship in the Department of International Affairs, beginning in fall 2020. We seek candidates whose research and teaching interests complement the department’s strengths [ https://college.lclark.edu/departments/international_affairs/ ]. Teaching and research in (1) Middle East and United States Foreign Policy or (2) Human Rights and International Law are particularly desirable. In addition, applicants are desired with interdisciplinary exposure to international relations and with interest and ability to teach an introduction to international relations course. Qualifications: Ph.D. in a field central to international relations is required at the time of appointment as a tenure-track member of the faculty. The usual teaching load is five courses per academic year, with a course reduction in the first year, and there is a one-semester pre-tenure sabbatical.
