Description Status: Casual: Location: Toronto, ON Join our team: Here’s the impact you’ll make and what we’ll accomplish together Under the direction of a Radiologist, the Ultrasound Technologist will perform a variety of ultrasound examinations (abdominal, pelvic and superficial soft tissue masses) while observing patient safety practices. The successful candidate may also be trained and required to perform small test assessments (vision, audiometry and spirometry). You will also liaise with other clinic staff, physicians and administrators to ensure effective delivery of our services. This is a casual position and hours will vary depending on the clinic’s needs. Here’s how: - Receive and complete requisitions, enter patient data into the diagnostic imaging information system and prepare patients for specific procedures - Gather and verify patient history and relevant information prior to beginning scan - Perform ultrasound procedures in accordance with regulatory body guidelines and TELUS’s policies - Ensure all necessary documentation is accurately completed for each scan - Maintain current knowledge and understanding of PACS - Maintain equipment and ensure a clean, organized an...
