POSITION SUMMARY: The successful candidate performs, processes and coordinates all patient exams—Holter, ECG, BP Monitoring, Cardiac Stress and Pacemaker; and completes all necessary documentation. QUALIFICATIONS: - Current registration with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologist (CSCT) - Two-year Community College diploma in CVT program - Experience in ECG - Experience in Cardiac Stress - Experience in Holter Scanning - Experience in Pacemaker Interrogation - Extensive knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology and pathology - Proficient at identifying all cardiac arrhythmias - Demonstrated advanced ECG interpretive skills - Proficient computer skills - Current BCLS - Strong knowledge of emergency procedure and crash cart medications RESPONSIBILITES: - Provide excellent patient care - Ensures timely completion of exams in an efficient and smooth-running lab - Prioritizes requests accordingly - Responsible for screening, performing, monitoring and assessing patients during procedure - Responsible for flagging any abnormalities to the reporting Cardiologist’s attention - Responds and assists Cardiologist if patient becomes unstable during procedure - Works closely with Cardio...
