Job description

This position provides day to day guidance and oversite of the maintenance duties of multiple maintenance technicians in University Housing residence halls to include repairs to all mechanical systems within the buildings. This position will monitor the electronic maintenance management system and assign work orders as necessary. They will follow-up on completed work to ensure repairs were made correctly. This position will work with campus partners and outside contractors on projects that fall within the responsibilities of this position. They will give frequent updates on building issues and conditions to maintenance superintendent. They will be responsible for approving time and leave requests of the maintenance technicians. The Maintenance Forman has thorough knowledge of modern construction practices and standards, as well as various construction maintenance trades including carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and masonry.
