Full Time: Days: Shift: 5 x 8 hours shifts OR 4 x 10 hours shifts, Days, M-F Job Summary: The Infusion Scheduler schedules new and continuing chemotherapy and non-chemotherapy infusions, treatments, and injections for infusion therapy patients. This role obtains proper pre-certification and authorization documentation by gathering patient and procedure information for the registration and billing processes ensuring a seamless patient care experience. Minimum Education: High School diploma or GED. Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: None. Work Experience: Minimum 1 year of scheduling experience in a healthcare environment. Experience within an oncology setting, preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Advanced knowledge of the varying chemotherapy and non-chemotherapy treatment plans. Working knowledge of insurance plans and medical terminology. Good computer and telephone support skills including the ability to answer a multi-line phone system.
