Department Summary The Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at SJSU provides a high-quality Civil Engineering education to its students at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The Department offers classroom instruction that promotes hands-on experiences, develops professional skills, and illustrates modern design. Our ABET-accredited undergraduate program has over 400 students and our professional MS program has over 120 students that are exploring their chosen area of specialization in-depth. Brief Description of Duties: Lecturers are expected to teach their courses effectively; to maintain appropriate office hours; to adhere to University Policy related to instructional activities; to participate in department-led assessment activities; and to participate with the department in the peer-review process.
