Scheduled Hours 40 Position Summary: Dr. Adam Kepecs’ lab uses cutting edge tools from systems neuroscience including electrophysiology and optogenetics to investigate the neural circuits underlying decision making. Assists with laboratory duties in a research setting; performs routine tests with direction from the supervisor, manager or higher-level technician. Job Description: Primary Duties & Responsibilities: - Assists the investigator or higher-level technician with research studies, experiments and assays, including collection of data, preparation of solutions and set-up and maintenance of equipment, as well as small animal procedures and behavior training and histology experiments. - Maintains files on research and assists with data entry. - Assists with general lab maintenance and cleaning. - Performs other duties as assigned.
