Job Description Consultant Public Health Nurse, 25 hours/Week (Part-time) The Bureau of Public Health Clinics has the mission of improving the sexual heath of all New Yorkers. To achieve this the Bureau provides direct clinic services to people seeking sexual health care, and services to sex partners; monitors disease trends; provides education and training to providers and community groups, conducts research and develop policies to improve sexual health and wellness. The Bureau of Public Health Clinics operates 8 STI clinics throughout New York City (NYC). The Bureau seeks to hire 1 part-time Consultant Public Health Nurse. This position will be working closely with the Regional Nursing Supervisor. DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO: - Provide a welcoming and efficient introduction to the STD clinic. - Adhere to the Nursing Code of Ethics, exhibiting high standards of nursing practice, promoting a safe and ethical work environment, practicing with compassion and respect for the inherent dignity, worth and unique attributes of every person. - Promote, advocate for, and protect the rights, health and safety of the patient. - Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in the...
