Job Summary The Supervisor, Safety and Security is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the safety and security team within the hospital setting. This includes managing security personnel, ensuring a safe environment for staff, patients, and visitors, and enforcing hospital security policies and procedures. The Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with safety regulations, managing security incidents, and contributing to the development of emergency preparedness and response plans. Essential Functions: - Coordinates the ongoing, organization-wide collection of information related to deficiencies, opportunities for improvement in the Environment of Care, and other sources such as published hazard notices and recall reports. - Coordinates the preparation of summaries detailing deficiencies, problems, failures, user errors, findings, recommendations, actions taken, and results of performance improvement (PI) activities related to managing the Environment of Care. - Participates in hazard surveillance and incident reporting. - Submits completed reports at least every other month to the Environment of Care (EC) Committee concerning findings, recommen...
