Job Summary: Assists in providing a safe and secure environment for employees, physicians, patients, and visitors by providing a visible deterrence to crime and responding to calls of assistance. Essential Functions: All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health's purpose: Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference. Responds quickly and effectively to emergent and non-emergent situations. Ensures only authorized personnel are admitted into Hospital after hours or as required. Escorts visitors, patients and personnel to and from parking areas. Assists motorists as needed on campus. Writes accurate, clear and legible security incident reports. Responds to emergency calls for assistance to control disorderly conduct or combative individuals. Patrols buildings and grounds; inspects doors and windows. Patrols parking areas to detect any irregularities. Assists and gives courteous responses to any inquiries made by patients, visitors or personnel. Assists law enforcement officers when requested.
