TITLE: Mechanical Technician A POSITION OBJECTIVE: This position is responsible for lubrication, preventative maintenance, and repair of all equipment. Performs other duties as required. QUALIFICATIONS: - Technical school or Associates degree preferred but not required in Industrial Maintenance or 3 years of experience in Industrial Maintenance - Knowledge and proper use of hand, power, and shop tools - Basic knowledge of industrial utility systems - Must be able to troubleshoot and complete tasks with limited supervision - Must demonstrate mechanical understanding with minimal instruction - Must be self-motivated and self-directed - Must be able to identify and follow safe practices and LOTO / confined space procedures - Good written and oral communication, organized record keeping and documentation - Must have basic knowledge of rigging, forklift and moving / setting motors and machinery - Must be willing to advance in skill level, be willing to take training courses if necessary - Basic welding and pipefitting skills - Basic understanding and interpretation of mechanical drawings and prints - Can maintain the daily, weekly, monthly checks and associated documentation - Must be a...
